How do the delegations participate?
AHIMSA’s delegations must have sufficient autonomy to be able to function according to their own criteria, while adhering to the basic principles which underlie the thinking of the association. Each delegation is free to develop its work, concentrating more on one or several areas that constitute what we refer to as EDUCATION FOR PEACE CULTURE, As a general rule, the delegations will not be able to have an accountancy system independent of that of the association. Each delegation will have, within the overall accountancy system, an account of income and expenditure in which will figure all income derived from the delegation’s own activities. Nevertheless, from the income generated by members’ subscriptions, AHIMSA will deduct the amount of 6 euros per annum, to cover the cost of postage, the bulletin, etc. The delegations’ projects will be AHIMSA’s projects and as such, will have the same consideration as any other of the association’s projects, and will appear as equal to the rest in the catalogue that is published each year, together with the income and expenditure account. Any expenses incurred by any delegation’s project will be their own responsibility and, as we have stated previously, will never be borne by the project. Therefore, before embarking on a project, the delegation must have the necessary funds to cover the costs that may be incurred. In exceptional circumstances, where necessary and always subject to approval by the assembly, a delegation may open a bank account provided that the aforementioned procedural criteria are adhered to and provided that the account is used solely for purposes authorized by the assembly. Also the assembly must be informed of any deposits or withdrawals, by way of bank statements being sent to the association. The delegations will have to use the same logotypes, typographical styles and acronyms that identify the association. The delegations will be responsible for controlling and justifying their projects before the relevant authorities and the assembly. CLOCK HERE TO RETURN |
